Sydney is the most
populous city of Australia’s continent. Sydney is also the capital state
of New South Wales. It is said that Sydney has been in habited by
indigenous Australians for around thirty thousand years. The population
of Sydney is approximately 4,2 million. The city of Sydney was founded
in 1788 by Arthur Phillip by Sydney Cove. Arthur Phillip was the leader
of the First Fleet of Britain.
Sydney is considered as one of the most multicultural cities in the
world which a main destination for immigrants to Australia. After a
living survey, Sydney is considered as Australia’s most expensive and in
the world at the place 15.
On the above picture is one of the most visited attractions of Sydney
the Sydney Opera House located on the Bennelong Point in Sydney harbour,
Australia. Jorn Utzon a Danish architect conceived and built the Opera
House of Sydney. The construction was completed in 1973 and was
officially opened by Queen Elisabeth II, Queen of Australia, on the 20th
October 1973. The design of the Sydney Opera House is an expressionist
modern design. In June 2007 The Sydney Opera House of Australia was made
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
