Chinese food is very tasty and sometimes
spicy. Chinese cuisine spread in different parts of the world along the
time. In China there is eight main Great Traditions in Chinese cuisine
which are: Cantonese, Shandong, Anhui, Fujian, Zhejiand, Sichuan,
Jiangsu and Hunan. In Chinese culture, Chinese food is eaten with
chopsticks, but most non Chinese are not comfortable and prefer forks,
spoons and knives. Most China food is prepared in bite size pieces which
is very easy to eat. In Chinese cuisine pork meat is preferred to beef
for different reasons, religious, aesthetic, and economic. Vegetarians
are not unusual for Chinese but a small part of the population practice
it. The Buddhists are known to be vegetarians. But Chinese food is often
considered as healthy as they cook with lot of vegetables. Rice is what
accompanies most of the Chinese dishes. The rice is cooked in a rice
cooker usually. During special occasions as Chinese New Year there are
special dicial dishes which are cooked, usually the Chinese eats
vegetarian food on the Chinese New Years Day, lot of food are said to
bring luck as bamboo wish everything to be good, dried bean curd means
wealth and happiness. |
