Cuba known as Republic of Cuba is located
an island located in the Caribbean; its capital city is Havana which is
also the largest city of Cuba and also of the Caribbean region. Cuba is
a very populous island with over eleven million people. There are
different cultures found in Cuba which also includes the aboriginal
peoples, the Ciboney and Taino. In Cuba the capital city is called La
Habana which is Spanish. Officially Havana is known as Ciudad de La
Habana. The capital city is one of the fourteen provinces of Cuba.
Havana where it is located now was first visited by Europeans. In 1952
the King Philip II of Spain gave to Havana the title of city. All year
round Havana has a tropical climate like most cities of Cuba. The
temperature is between 22° and 30° and the lowest recorded temperature
was in Bainoa at 0.6°. Rain period is usually during June and October.
Havana is very rich is architectural monuments and buildings, Old Havana
is not to miss during your visit in Cuba.
