Banks are not missing in Germany; there is
different types of banks that exist in the country. In Frankfurt am Main
is located the Eupean financial center to the euro and also the
Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The Central Banks of Germany are European
Central Bank in Frankfurt and the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt.
There are banks which are owned by the state which are the NRW Bank in
Düsseldorf, KfW in Frankfurt and the Deutsche Pfandbriefbank in
Frankfurt. The main Commercial Banks in Germany are DZ Bank, Deutsche
Bank, Commerzbank, PSD Bank, Sparkassen Finanzgruppe, Landesbank Berlin
Holding. Foreign banks do also exist in Germany here some of them Anglo
Irish Bank, Barclays Bank, Credit Lyonnais, Royal Bank of Scotland,
UniCredit, Handelsbanken, Ing Group, Barclays Bank, National Bank of
Greece, ABN AMRO.
