This is a picture of the famous Royal Albert Hall situated in the
Knightsbridge in the surrounding of the City of Westminster in London,
the capital city of England and United Kingdom. The Royal Albert Hall is
well known for the annual summer Proms concert and this since 1941. In
the whole world the Royal Albert Hall is well and is United Kingdom’s
most distinctive and treasured buildings. At start it was decided that
the Hall would be called The Central hall of arts and Sciences but
finally Queen Victoria decided to change the name to Royal Albert Hall
of Arts and Sciences. The hall is a grade I “listed building” in London.
As listed building in United Kingdom is a structure or building
designated having a special historical, architectural or cultural
significance. The opening of the hall was made by Queen Victoria in 1871
and the first concert played was Arthur Sullivan’s cantata, “On Shore
and Sea”.
